Dems win 3 special elections in Allegheny County

According to news reports, all three seats were won by Democrats, thus giving Dems a 102-101 majority in Harrisburg, and possibly settling the ongoing tug o war over who is in control of the house. Businessman Joe McAndrew won the seat left vacant by Tony DeLuca, who died a month before the November election. Abigail Salisbury, a member of Swissvale Borough council won the seat left vacant by Summer Lee, after she was elected to congress and the third seat left vacant by Austin Davis when he was elected Lt. Governor, was won by Matthew Gergley a McKeesport government worker. The majority could increase to 3, as another seat has become vacant with the election of rep. Lynda Schlegel to the state senate on January 31st.
