Television news reports indicate police have charged 53 year old Loreta McClusick with extreme neglect while caring for the 84 year old woman. Police and medical personnel reported that the woman’s health was the worst any of them had ever seen. The victim had wounds that left holes that went right down to the bone, and doctors said that she had the lowest blood pressure they had seen, and didn’t know how she was still alive. Police also said that the residence where McClusick was caring for the victim was in deplorable shape, with garbage and human waste throughout. McClusick is charged with neglect and possibly financial exploitation. She is locked up in the Centre County jail on $100,000 bond.
