The Altoona Mirror reports today that current Hollidaysburg school board member Manny Nichols has announced a run for commissioner. The story reported of Nichols plans to work on opening government up to public scrutiny, lowering taxes for senior citizens, and reforming property tax assessments. Nichols also said that he is a staunch supporter of the 2nd amendment, and strong pro life supporter. He will run as a republican. He joins an already crowded field for the may primary.
