Phony money lands Philly man in jail

The Altoona Mirror reports that police have arrested 28 year old Lionel Adams for allegedly using fake $100 bills on numerous occasions. Police report that Adams would reportedly go into stores, purchase small items and use the fake $100’s and get the change and leave. He is accused of using the money at convenience stores, discount stores, wine and spirits shops and more. Adams is also charged with trying to put some of the fake money onto a debit card, but was refused when a cashier noticed the bills were phony. Two other people, Myesha Robinson and Emonee Peterson are also implicated in this case as being with Adams during several of the transactions, and are accused of driving him to these destinations to push the fake bills. Adams is charged with 53 counts of dealing in counterfeit money. He is facing several other cases in Blair County and 2 inactive cases in Cambria County
