News reports indicate that police were sent to a home on South Eagle Valley road in Taylor Township for a man who was apparently holed up inside a house. Police report that 54 year old Robert Eugene Miller barricaded himself inside his residence after U.S. Marshals armed with a search warrant arrived to execute that warrant. TV news said that miller threatened “suicide by cop” during the standoff, and he is alleged to have doused his home with diesel fuel. Miller was eventually arrested without incident, and as of today, no charges have been field. State police assisted the marshals during the incident.
