WTAJ reports that yesterday, numerous public school district across the state held a joint press conference to share information on just how much cyber and charter schools are allegedly hurting the public school system. Both Altoona and Johnstown school districts took part in the teleconference, and they along with dozens of other schools are now pleading for what they call equitable funding. The report states that over the last 10 years, cyber and charter school funding has increased to $3.7 billion, with some of that money coming from local school districts. Johnstown in particular said that this funding is hurting already poorer school districts like Johnstown. And Altoona said they they should not have to beg for money
