A report by WJAC indicates that a message was sent out by district officials telling parents of a situation of a possible fake threat that may have been phoned into the Bedford Middle School on Friday. A lock down ensued after the threat was revealed. Law enforcement was on site immediately, and all inside were safe. State police did report later that the false alarm was set off by the school’s sprinkler system. This incident came just 2 days after numerous schools in the region received swatting calls that sent out fake phone threats, and caused a large police presence at those schools.
