The Altoona Mirror reports that board has accepted and approved change orders for stadium bleachers, lighting, power to baseball dugouts, electricity for a storage facility, new internet capabilities for different areas of the new football stadium, and for a new sound system at the football field. The board also heard concerns about the pay for PIAA officials for sports, including pay for softball and baseball. Board president Rich Gergely, who also is a registered official, says the district needs to increase pay for officials, because events have been disrupted with the shortage of officials because of the apparent low pay they receive.
