News reports indicate that the board was set to vote last night on an issue that some say would affect the schools marching band program. But WTAJ reported that the vote was for a teaching position position of a music teacher. The district put out a statement that this vote would not jeopardize the marching band program. A petition with some 3000 student and parent signatures was gathered to present to the board. But late at last nights meeting, it was reported that the board had tabled the discussion and did not vote.
