A report by WJAC indicates that the Pa Dept of Dducation has approved an idea that would set up aviation classes in high schools. The idea is to bolster the sagging numbers of pilots and flight crew members by offering classes to high school students as a potential pathway to a career in the skies. 6 classes have been approved, including aircraft maintaInence, control tower work and becoming a pilot. Johnstown airport manager Cory Dree says that these classes could help keep Pa kids in Pennsylvania, by offering aviation careers right here.
