A report by WTAJ indicates that the city has announced the opening of the pool will take place on Friday May 26th, Memorial Day weekend. There is also a new feature to coincide with the opening of the pool, a new website. Folks can go on the website to purchase their season passes or just a daily pass. You will also be able to check out information on pool rentals. The Blair Regional YMCA in Hollidaysburg will help the city to hire lifeguards for Prospect pool. The city took over operation of the pool last year from the Central Blair Rec Commission. A cleanup day at the pool is scheduled for may 6th, anyone wishing to help out can call the city managers office.
