Since summer is drawing closer, this week’s “Local Song of the Week” comes from the Pittsburgh area, and the band Radio 45, who will be our guests on the May 14 edition of Q94 Classic Rock’s local music show, the “Homegrown Rocker!” “Feels Like Summer” is a catchy and upbeat ode to how a special somebody brings memories and visions of summertime fun and love. Comprised of multi-instrumentalist and singer C. Scott “Scotto” Gilbert, lead singer and lead guitarist Aaron “Double-A” Greer, singer Gary Bickerstaff and drummer Mark Wesesky (a Philipsburg native, Mark used to play drums for central PA’s Smoke Run Band and others before relocating to Pittsburgh), Radio 45 yearns to create catchy and accessible, modern-edged rock songs to bring smiles to listeners.
