Television news reports suggest people came out against a proposed Rutters truck stop store that is planned to be built on wetlands in Smithfield Twp. The residents say that the store would negatively affect the wetlands, create a dangerous traffic situation and impact outdoor recreations in the area. One resident told officials at the meeting that thousands of people use the wetlands yearly for many outdoor activities. The meeting was held last night and conducted by the dept of environmental protection.
