According to reports, 24 year old Gage Ortiz Rodriguez was found in his cell at SCI Huntingdon this past Monday unresponsive. Life saving measures were taken by prison and medical staff to try and revive Rodriguez, but he did not respond. Rodriguez was transported to Penn Highlands Hospital where he died. Rodriguez was serving a 6-12 year sentence for involuntary deviate sexual intercourse from a case in Mckean county, and had been housed at SCI Huntingdon since June 2021. State police and the Huntingdon County coroner are investigating.
