Television news reports indicate that there has been a recall of Canadian based Sofia Foods product Mortadella Deli meat. The meat is found to contain pistachio nuts, which was not put on the list of ingredients. More than 15,100 lbs of the meat was shipped out to the united states, and were produced on March 27, 30 and April 4 of this year. That is according to the Dept of Agriculture’s Food Safety Inspection Service. If you have an allergy to nuts, check to see if you purchased the product called ”Mastro Mortadella Product of Canada”. Deli’s and food service locations are not serving the meat. The meat was shipped to several states including Pennsylvania.
