According to a report from Harrisburg, the house has passed the bill that would raise the amounts senior can receive from current levels. If approved, the maximum rebate for seniors will rise to $1000, up from $650, while the income cap for that rebate will rise to $45,000 a year, which would allow more people to become eligible. The program was last updated back in 2007. The vote on the bill was 194-9. And the bill now goes to the senate for consideration.
