The Altoona Mirror reports that the jury in the John Wineland trial convicted him on one felony count and 4 misdemeanor counts related to the July 2022 standoff. Law enforcement was called to the Wineland home last July when Wineland became intoxicated and armed himself inside his home. Family members left the home, but insisted they were not in fear of their lives, even though it was reported that they told police Wineland had made threats. Wineland testified this week that he did nothing wrong. Sentencing is scheduled for September 13th.
