In a report aired on WTAJ, the story indicates that three Pa counties have ranked among the lowest for median income in an effort to afford purchasing a house. The report states that Cambria, Fayette and Schuylkill counties rank near the bottom for median income families to purchase a home. Cambria ranked the lowest with just shy of $15,000 per year in median income. In more than half of the country’s housing markets, the report indicated that it would take at least a $75,000 yearly median income to afford a home.
