In a report from WJAC, Pa State Police were kept busy during the holiday period from June 30 through July 4. In all, there were 668 vehicle crashes investigated, of which alcohol was involved in 59 of the non fatal crashes reported. 3 people were killed and 194 were injured according to state police. 505 people were arrested for DUI, and nearly 24,000 citations were issued by state police. DUI arrests were down 10% from a year ago. These statistics do not include any numbers from local law enforcement agencies
