Here are pictures from Friday (May 26), the second night of the Memorial Day weekend edition of the PA Roundhouse Rally Summer Series 2023 at Roundhouse Harley-Davidson near Duncansville.
Friday’s Roundhouse Rally saw two bands, starting with Altoona’s Ages, who kicked things off with their solid and hard-edged classic rock set. Singer Mike Pastine, guitarist Tyler Bryan, and the father-and-son rhythm section of drummer Jerry Naugle and bassist Jacob Naugle brought the rock over two sets with tunes from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Chuck Berry, Romantics, ZZ Top, Marshall Tucker Band, Aerosmith, Black Crowes, Ted Nugent, AC/DC, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, Black Sabbath and more. Ages warmed up the crowd, triggering increasing amounts of dance floor action as their performance proceeded.
Hair Force One then quickly packed the dance floor with their 1980s hair-band festivus. Singer Victor Synn, guitarists Michael J. Cox and Milo Nuttz, bassist Peter Fitzwell and drummer Shawn Toppuver delivered the 1980s hair band “decade of decadence”; including ample tunes from Skid Row, Van Halen, Ratt, Cinderella, AC/DC, Scorpions, Guns N’Roses, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Poison, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot and more. They broke out a couple of numbers you don’t often hear covered: Hardline’s “Hot Cherie” and W.A.S.P.’s “Wild Child.” Hair Force One kept the Roundhouse Rally crowd celebrating at a festive high, with the dance floor packed for the duration of their two sets.
These pictures show both bands, the Q Crew, the 2023 120th Edition Harley-Davidson Fat Boy 114 being given away by the Pennsylvania Roundhouse Rally and Q94, the outside bar area and other sights around the PA Roundhouse Rally grounds.
