Television news reports suggest that a 44 mile detour will be set up in Upper Yoder Twp beginning next Monday. The detour will close off state Rt 271 for removal of two box culverts along Menoher Blvd. The detour will be at either end of 271 and will encompass Rt 711 to Rt 56 and back to 271. Other road work will also take place during this road closure. The good news is that it won’t take long for the work to be completed, because the project is not weather dependent. The road is scheduled to re-open on august 7th.
