Television news reports indicate that the Penn State board of trustees has approved a tuition increase that will affect undergraduate students over the next 2 years. The details are that the increase will be 2% for undergrads at university park, but at commonwealth campuses, the tuition will be held flat. That adds up to 43% of undergrad students will not see an increase for 2 years. The increase will be 2% at the school of law, and 4% for both in state and out of State medical school students. Since there is no state budget, Penn State says it will use other monies to cover the cost per student that the state allocation usually covers.
