According to the Altoona Mirror, charges against Joseph Michael Mazza were filed by state police in Clearfield for allegedly terrorizing his co-defendant, before 2 Blair County robberies. The report suggests that Mazza had threatened Amber Lynn Herren and her child during a domestic disturbance in Dubois. Mazza and Herrin were the arrested for allegedly committing two armed robberies in Blair County on July 10th. Mazza is accused of a violent assault against Herrin using a pistol, to beat her while she held her 1 month old child inside their home. Police say Mazza was on drugs at the time of the assault. The couple is awaiting hearings on the 2 Blair County robberies, where police say they found nearly $5600 cash when the couple was arrested.
