2 arrested for bank fraud, theft

A report by WTAJ indicates that state police stopped a car being driven by Michael Amos of Woodbury, NJ and 51 year old Joseph James Taggert of Pa, on Wednesday. l police say that the car was stopped for a moving violation. Troopers went on to discover the 2 men had in their possession, 2 fake Pa ID cards and 6 phony ID’s from Ohio. The report says that amos recruited taggart, who claims to be homeless, to get involved with a scheme to steal money. Amos would take Taggart’s picture, then create phony ID’s, then use those to get bank cards to steal money from other people’s bank accounts.. Police discovered that Amos paid Taggart with fentanyl pills. Both men were arrested and put in the Bedford County jail on $200,000 bond each.
