The Altoona Mirror reports that the attorney representing Drue Burd has filed an appeal with the state Superior Court. Robert Donaldson says that Burd claims to have informed the public defenders office that he wanted to withdraw his guilty plea, but nothing happened. Burd pled guilty to causing the death of a 16 month old child in may 2018. The child belonged to his girlfriend at the time. Donaldson said that he filed an appeal because not post sentencing filings were made on Burd’s behalf. That report has to be in by the end of the month to Blair County court.
