State police out of Ebensburg report that they were called out to the home of the victim sometime around 8 pm on Sunday. Police say that 53 year old Neil Harteis allegedly forced his way into the home of his ex wife and threatened her with a knife. The woman told troopers that he dogs were barking, and that Harteis forced his way into her home. She told police that Harteis said that if he could not have her, no one can. The victim managed to get away and call 911. Harteis was arrested and charged with felony burglary, and causing bodily injury, along with simple assault, making terroristic threats, criminal mischief and harassment. He is locked up in the Cambria County jail on $20,000 bail.
