A report by WTAJ indicates that the shelter has many more animals than it can handle, and efforts are underway to try and find homes for some of these animals. Other animal shelters in the region are reporting the same problem, too many animals, not enough adoptive homes. Joe Zolna of the CPHS says that his shelter has had to double up animals by separating cages made for just one dog, which is creating a problem. Another big problem, is that people show up to the shelter, and drop of animals without notice. Call the humane society if you are looking to adopt a pet.
