WTAJ reports that Jeremy Sipe has filed a lawsuit against the county for medical costs and unspecified damages after he claimed to have been jabbed with a dirty tattoo needle. Sipe says he was going through a 55 gallon trash bin after officers had conducted a cell shakedown to confiscate contraband, when he was allegedly stuck by the needle, which Sipe claims to have been covered in dried blood. Sipe says that the prison medical staff did not tend to him for weeks after the incident. He is suing for the cost of his medical bills, along with $4 million in damages from the county. Then suit was filed in federal court in Pittsburgh.
