A report by WTAJ indicates that police were called to an apartment building on the 2200 block of Beale avenue Monday night for a fight between several women and a man. Police say that Roberta Simmons and Kathryn Reed were at the building confronting a man over child discipline. Simmons allegedly got into a heated argument with a third woman and threatened to beat her up if she continued to interfere. Police then said that both Reed and Simmons fled the scene when they heard another resident call for help. The two were captured at their residence on 4th avenue. Reed allegedly became combative and tried to punch officers while resisting arrest. Both Simmons and reed were arrested, charged with burglary and harassment. Reed is also,charged with escape, resisting arrest and aggravated assault. Simmons was released on $25,00 bail,while Reed is locked up in the Blair County jail on $50,000 bail.
