Television news reports suggest the school will offer beginning with the current academic calendar, a program for students to get hands on training and education in the medical field. The program is for students in the medical laboratory science program. Potential students will have to complete courses in biology, chemistry and algebra with a minimum “c” grade to qualify. Students in the program will also get to work in clinical rotations as part of the overall program. Duke Lifepoint Conemaugh Medical Center in Johnstown is acting as the medical partner in this program with the Mount.
