Television news reports indicate that 30 year old Derek Louk pleaded guilty to a charge of third degree murder for killing his cousin Tyler Matthai in 2022. Louk pled guilty to the killing and burning Matthai’s body, then he asked Courtney Boden and Jordon Robertson to help dispose of matthai’s body. Boden is serving prison time for her role in the cover up. Louk was sentenced to serve a term of 15-30 years in prison. The state Attorney General’s office prosecuted the case, after it was transferred from the Bedford County District Attorney.
