A report by WJAC indicates that Scott Williams of Mifflin County is accused of the rape in State College. Williams apparently told a judge that he thinks he was there at the time of the incident, but could not specifically remember. His attorney says that the entire case should be thrown out, because there has not been enough evidence to arrest and or charge his client. Police did say that DNA evidence from the scene. Did link Williams to the crime. The attorney says that one of his motions to dismiss is the right to a speedy trial, which he claims was violated after his arrest in 2021.
