The Altoona Mirror reports that Judge Elizabeth Doyle has moved jury selection for the trial of Christopher Aikens to October. Aikens is charged with second degree murder for causing the death of corrections officer Rhonda Russell in 2021, follwing a hostage situation at the Blair Central Court building in Altoona.. Judge Doyle said the reason for the delay is so both sides can meet for a pre trial conference, to present motions to the court.. Now jury selection has been scheduled to begin October 23rd, with the trial to start November 13th.
