Television news reports suggest the university is being sued for what is being described as falsifying security reports to the dept of defense. The suit claims that Penn State failed to protect sensitive government information, by allegedly falsifying compliance with government contracts. The fed says that while the information in question is not classified, it is however sensitive for the acquisition of goods and services. The suit claims that Penn State may not have acted truthfully with compliance issues. The lawsuit was not made public until last week.
