The Altoona Mirror reported that inmate Brian Davis says he may plan to file suit against the Moshannon Valley Correctional Center for refusing him to marry a childhood sweetheart. The report states that Davis intended to marry Fredericka Beckford, while Davis was serving a life sentence in prison. But that sentence eventually was reduced 2 times. Davis and Beckford are both of Jamaican descent, and wanted to marry. But officials,at the center denied the request, because Davis is not a citizen of the United States. The center has a policy of denying all marriage requests.
