The Altoona Mirror reports that Heather and Harold Walstrom are planning to sue the Clearfield County jail, for allegedly causing the death of their daughter Kaitlyn. She was found unresponsive in her jail cell back in 2019. The Walstroms claim that their daughter needed medical attention based on information they received from an investigation, attention they say was not provided in a timely manner. Officers reported they saw Kaitlyn sleeping awkwardly, but thought nothing of it, until it was too late. The report suggests that Walstrom may have taken drugs that were smuggled into the jail several days before she died. The Walstroms say that Narcan was not used to revive their daughter, and that the C.O’s on duty did not know how to perform CPR.
