A report from Harrisburg indicates that committee members have proposed moving the state primary election to April 2nd of 2024, which is 2 weeks later than what senate republicans want. Their bill proposes that the primary be held March 19th. One thing both sides do agree on, to move the primary up in the calendar year, so Pa voters can have more of a direct impact in choosing presidential candidates. And since pa is considered a key battleground state for the white house, lawmakers want a stronger voice from voters in choosing candidates.
