WTAJ reports that charges have been field against 24 year old Mary Jayda Patterson including cruelty to animals. The story states that Patterson allegedly took four ferrets from an Altoona man with the help of another individual. That person told police that she saw the animals trapped inside a cat cage and apparently had no food or water and were in poor condition. The woman told police that Patterson texted her that the ferrets would die if she did not get her cats from the unidentified victim. Patterson is in the Blair County jail on $10,000 bail.
