According to a report by WTAJ, some 11 fire companies in both Huntingdon and Bedford counties will receive a total of more than $117,000 in funds from a several year long campaign. The project was undertaken by Martin Oil and Martins General stores after fire companies like most other businesses, were shut down during the pandemic. The fire companies could not hold any fund raisers during that time. The monies will help with day to day operations of the fire companies. Most of the money is probably targeted for station equipment
