Newcomer to the election process, David Kessling easily won a seat on the Blair County board of commissioners. Kessling finished first in yesterdays voting. The 2 incumbent commissioners, Amy Webster and Laura Burke were retained by voters. Democrat Carol Taylor finished 4th in the balloting. Kessling will take the seat now held by Bruce Erb, who announced last year that he would not run for another term. All other row office races went uncontested. A.C.Stickel for controller, James Carothers treasurer, Anita Terchanik register of wills, recorder of deeds and there will be a new coroner. Ray Benton will take over for the retiring Patty Ross.
