The report by the Altoona Mirror indicates that Amy Jo Burke was given a sentence of 11.5-23 months in the county jail for stealing the card and making at least 6 unauthorized purchases in September of 2022. Burke’s lawyer pleaded for probation, but Judge Jackie Bernard said that given Burke’s criminal record and past history, jail time was called for in this case. Burke told Judge Bernard that she just made a mistake, but the judge told Burke it was more than just one. Burke will b e on probation once she is released from jail.
