Governor Josh Shapiro says school vouchers and an increase in funding, as well as an increase in the state’s minimum wage, remain at the top of his to-do list. The governor also says he still wants lawmakers to lift time limits that prevent adult victims of childhood sexual assault from suing their assailants and institutions. His comments recently at the Pennsylvania Press Club were also laced with comments about wanting to accomplish these goals while still having to work with a politically divided state legislature.
