News reports yesterday indicated that both utilities are getting set to raise prices as of tomorrow. Penelec is raising the price of a kilowatt hour nearly 1 cent to 10.6 cents per KWH, a 9.3% increase. But peoples natural gas is raising their rates by nearly 150% from $1.23 to $3.08 per cubic foot of natural gas. Pa officials are urging residents to check on getting a gas supplier if they don’t already have one, where you could get a lower rate rate for cubic feet of natural gas used. Merry Christmas!!
