Altoona Police are continuing to investigate the death of an 80 year old man who was hit and killed by a pick-up truck on Friday night. The accident occurred at the intersection of 6th Avenue and 12th Street. There are reports the man had been walking in the area around 11pm when he fell onto the roadway and struggled to get back up on his feet. Police say numerous vehicles passed by the victim before he was struck by a pick-up truck. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Altoona Police Dept., at 814-949-2490.
