The number of job openings in Pennsylvania is reportedly on a downward trend. According to federal data, Pennsylvania employers posted eight-thousand-fewer job openings in October, down from 380-thousand the month before. Figures from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics show the decrease is due to a number of layoffs – a record 80-thousand layoffs and discharges were reported in October.
