Blair County Commissioners have adopted a budget for next year that includes a 10.37% increase in real estate taxes. The Commissioners noted the increase was necessary due to rising costs, especially those at the county’s prison. All three commissioners approved the 2024 budget that is supported with a tax levy of 4.522 mills which is an increase from 4.097 mills. For an individual that has a property assessed at $100,000, the taxes will increase by nearly $410 dollars a year.
