A Norfolk Southern train derailed in Altoona while we slept early yesterday morning. The non-hazardous train derailed on Norfolk Southern property near Altoona’s North 8th Street Bridge. Logan Township Police are asking folks not to call 911, which has been happening because the derailment is visible from the bridge. The situation is currently under control.
