Federal Statistics Agency Ranks PA Police, Sheriff’s Officers 14th in Earnings

New federal data shows Pennsylvania’s police and sheriff’s officers rank 14th in the country in earnings. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says state officers bring in an average of just over 75-thousand-dollars each year.  The 2022 salary data is the latest available and says sheriff’s offices all over the country are boosting wages and offering bonuses as they struggle to hire and keep officers.
