A Johnstown man has been charged with animal abuse after he allegedly abandoned and neglected multiple dogs and cats. He’s 67 year old Daniel Gates. Police say there were two locations they searched, one being his apartment where the dogs were found, another residence where 15 cats were discovered, 10 of which were dead. Gates faces 10 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals and animal neglect. He has yet to be arraigned.
