If there’s one weekend each year when you’re better off NOT drinking and driving in Pennsylvania, it’s this one. State police announced yesterday that DUI checkpoints will be in place over the next several weeks along major roads in the northeastern part of the Keystone State. Troopers say the state is taking a zero-tolerance approach to enforcement. The move comes as state officials say they’re tracking an uptick in DUI-related traffic violations and vehicle accidents.
